Hush ("we", "our", or "the App") is a baby sleep assistant application developed by Efkan Works. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the Hush mobile application and related services.
Our core principle: Hush processes audio entirely on your device. We do not record, transmit, or store any audio data on external servers.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Unlike many baby monitor applications, Hush does not collect the following:
- Audio recordings from your microphone
- Video or camera data
- Your precise location
- Contact lists or personal files
- Browsing history or usage of other applications
3. How Audio Processing Works
Hush uses on-device artificial intelligence for cry detection:
- The microphone captures short audio snippets (approximately 1 second) into temporary device memory (RAM).
- The on-device AI model analyzes the audio locally on your phone.
- Audio data is immediately discarded from memory after analysis.
- Only a binary signal ("cry detected" or "no cry detected") is used to trigger actions such as auto-soothe or parent alerts.
No audio data is ever transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
4. Information We May Collect
To provide and improve the App, we may collect minimal, non-identifying information:
- Anonymous Crash Reports: If the app crashes, anonymous diagnostic data (device type, OS version, crash stack trace) may be collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us fix bugs. This data contains no personal identifiers.
- Subscription Data: If you purchase a subscription, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not have access to your credit card or payment details. We receive only a transaction confirmation and subscription status via RevenueCat.
- Anonymous Analytics: We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage data (e.g., which sounds are most popular, general session duration) to improve the App. This data cannot be linked to any individual user.
- Push Notification Tokens: If you enable parent alerts (device pairing), Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens are used to deliver notifications between paired devices. These tokens are not linked to personal identity.
5. Device Pairing (Parent Alerts)
When you pair two devices using a QR code:
- A unique, anonymous pairing code is generated.
- Only a "cry detected" signal (not audio) is sent between paired devices via Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- No personal information is exchanged between devices.
- You can unpair at any time by disconnecting in the App settings.
6. Third-Party Services
Hush uses the following third-party services that have their own privacy policies:
- Firebase (Google): For anonymous authentication, push notifications, and crash reporting. Firebase Privacy Policy

- Apple App Store / Google Play Store: For app distribution and payment processing.
7. Children's Privacy
Hush is designed as a tool for parents and caregivers. The App does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. The App is operated by the parent or caregiver, not by the child. Audio captured for cry detection is processed transiently in device memory and is never stored or transmitted.
8. Data Retention
Since Hush does not collect personal data, there is no personal data to retain. Anonymous crash reports are automatically deleted after 90 days. Subscription records are maintained by Apple/Google and RevenueCat per their respective policies.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal data. Since Hush collects virtually no personal data, most data-related requests are not applicable. However, you may:

- Request deletion of any crash report data associated with your device.
- Manage your subscription through Apple or Google settings.
10. Security
We employ industry-standard security measures to protect the minimal data we handle. All communications between paired devices use encrypted channels. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or our website. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
